Maintenance Tips for Your Mechanical Wooden Clock

To keep your mechanical push-pull clock in pristine condition, regular care is required. The wood casing (Pine, Sapele, or Red Oak) should be treated with standard wood oil (for Oak/Sapele) or left natural (for Pine) to prevent drying and cracking. The mechanical push-pull array is protected by the faceplate, but dust can accumulate around the telescopic rods. A gentle burst of compressed air once a month keeps the movement frictionless. Do not pull the segments by hand; the closed-loop calibration system will automatically reposition them on the next hour change. Internally, the stepper motors are maintenance-free. Avoid high humidity, as it can affect the wood construction. With proper care, the physical transformation that defines this modern classic will perform accurately for a generation.
